About

My name is Ayeen , I am a mixed media folk artist of Celtic, Baltic and Mestiza descent. I was raised on the coastal prairies of the Awaswa people in california and among the high desert sagebrush of the Taos Pueblo people.

Waxwing and Willow is an expression of all the beauty i hope to create and celebrate in this holy life! It is an exploration into what devotionally tending our ancestral life ways can create.

I am a basket maker, hide tanner, needleworker, and illustrator. You can find me cyclically tending these muses, the land, shepherding, and walking the watersheds.

I am honored and continually humbled by this work. May we all become worthy ancestors worth descending from, may we live in dedication for a time beyond our own.

For basketry , visual art, tattoo, or hide tanning commissions please email me.
